THE FACTS:

It's similar to Earth

The right distance from it's Sun

Surface temperature is somewhere between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius (32-104 degrees Fahrenheit)

I think it's a question many people must wonder about. Do you believe in fate? Because really, there's no way to prove whether it's real or not.

People say, that fate controls your life and that you can't change what will happen. Others believe they have a choice in life.

I suppose, the reason this is discussed so much is because there's no way to prove the answer. There's no mathematical equation, or scientific testing that can prove fate is real.

For example, if I read a book right ...

Although these days are fun when we're small, and sometimes get us out of school, wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have a few of them?

When you look at it, if we got rid of a few PA Days and holidays here and there, we would have enough days to add another week of holiday, and maybe even two. Three day weekends are nice, but they end too ...

Some people plead that since we are so advanced and high-tech, we are not animals, we are humans; simply stated. Other scientists believe humans are also animals, as we are mammals, need food, air, water and are not that much different from them anyway.
Should the voting age be lowered?

Oh my god, I say yes. Why?

the government is made up of old people. Who votes for them? The old people.

they all think that teenagers are stupid and can't do anything. Shouldn't we have a say? We're not 5, we're citizens of the country, we have something important to say.

Who caused global warming? The old people. Who doesn't care? The really old people who are like, oh its not my problem I'm gonna die soon. I don't care what happens to the other ...

(haha, I searched up debate topics. Hopefully we can get some good conversation going)

So what do you think about the natives and how they've been treated? Personally, I think they've been treated horribly since Europe came to North America. And now, how many native people do you see? I think I know..a kid that's half native. But not even a full native. Cuz they're all dead! D:

We watched a movie last year on what happened to the Natives that lived up North. (like nunavut area). ...

Adoption of Children by Same Sex Couples

Apparently, this is a good debate topic O.o When I first looked at it I thought, duh! Why not? And then I realized why it might be a debatable topic.

On one hand, sure I think people should be able to adobt/have children if they can handle it. If two girls feel that they can handle bringing up a boy, why not?

Then again, what someone could argue is that you need balance, and growing up with gay/lesbian parents doesn't really give you that.

ex, if there are two guys bringing up ...

(I figure we need more than one thing to discuss, so I hope I can make some good topics)

Maybe I made this late, seeing as the election is tomorrow. But we can still talk about what we think about the election.

(and yeah, I'm canadian, so..an american can help out here )

2008 U.S.A Election

Barack Obama - Democrat

Barack Obama's V.P. - Joe Biden

John McCain - Republican

John McCain's V.P - Sarah Palin

So what's your opinion on them?

Abortion

What are your thoughts on abortion?

Personally, if people want it, let them. Like if you were 12 and got raped, I don't think you'd want to have a baby. And if you just don't want a baby, you shouldn't be forced to. It's like, kill the baby, or let the baby have a crap life because you're an unfit parent.

And should parents have to know? Well, in some ways yes, in some ways no. If it was an accident *because it seems that just happens to teenagers..* then you would want to hide it wouldn't ...

Children Advertisements

We did a lot about this last year. Should there be ads directed to children?

Children are sponges. They absorb things, as people say. Most advertisements are made for children. Why? Because adults are earning money, they don't want to spend it on things. For children if they see something they want, they aren't loosing anything so they'll ask for it. Parents give the money, children get what they want.

By personal experience, ads are horrible. Ex, tamagochis are a fail. (although I want a ...
