First topic message reminder :

On the news they talked about a new type of flu that humans are getting from animals. I can't remember what it was called, but it might have been Swine influenza?

Anyway, they were saying that this virus could be the next epidemic.
They said the world was "overdue" and the last epidemic was the Spanish flu in 1918 (?)
I'm sorry that I can't remember much from it, but what do you guys think?

You can't be super careful neatfreak, but you can't just not care. Really, if you're gonna get it, you've got and you'll have to deal with it at that point, hopefully you've at least tried to stay clean up until that point.

I love how we're all 'worried' about this. I remeber someone says this was like the Spanish Flu and yet it hasn't effected over 1000 people yet -.-

The regular flu is worse than this, so I'm not too worried about it.

Would someone like to enlighten me on this Spanish flu? Apparently I was living under a rock.

Lol, i really dont care about swine flu. Sure, its near us. Sure someone is hospitalized. that person had a history of other medical problems, I saw it on the news. I know Im being pretty ignorant, but I think swine flu is way too exaggerated, so im just living as i would normally.

But it was some lame American tourist.

LoL. I still think swine flu was/is a bit over-rated. This may be wrong, but wasn't there less than a hundred people who died from swine flu? And how many more are there dying of starvation, cancer, etc. all over the world? Thousands and thousands.

But yeah, it's still best to be concerned, but that's like with any other sickness, right?

Swine Flu kills in around a month or two: a couple hundred? (Don't know exactly)
Regular flu kills each day: 11 Canadians, never mind the rest of the world

Swine Flu = Who cares.

But when they come out are you going to get it?

I'm not. My mom had this whole talk of "We're not getting the shot. Don't eat food from anybody, wash your hands, use hand sanitizer"

[IMO, It's new. Everyday on the news they have something different to say about the shot. The other day I heard people who have got the flu shot in the past are more likely to get swine flu or something ]

I'm not either, srsly, it would be alot more fun if everyone who took the shot became zombies, then i could hit the people i hate without getting in trouble
